Looking for far infrared heating panel pricing? We believe in transparency. We don’t hide our pricing and force you to have a consultation with us, just to see what our products cost! Furthermore, these are our REAL prices. We don’t list them higher than the actual price so we can pretend we’re offering some kind of fabulous “deal” to you. It isn’t a secret, high quality far infrared heating panels are not “cheap”, but they offer incredible value, yet still at an affordable price point.
You’ve likely noticed that there is no place on our website to order our panels online. This is by design, of course. Despite not wishing to “force” a conversation on people just to determine our pricing, we DO believe that at least one conversation should occur in order for us to fully understand your specific needs, and for you to understand the process, BEFORE you buy.
We don’t want you purchasing more panels than you require, just as we don’t want you purchasing less panels than are required.
We’re not in the business of selling “cheap” quartz and carbon infrared panel solutions, the majority of which are very cheaply made in Asia (and even by some Canadian and US manufacturers!), and why they’re priced accordingly. We ARE in the business of offering the highest quality professional grade far infrared heating solutions available in North America today that provide the most value and an actual real-world return on investment.
Again, these are NOT the cheaply made products found in box stores!
Now that we have that out of the way, there is no short answer to the inevitable question “Exactly how many panels do I need?” as every room, and every area is different. If all rooms had no windows and no doors, and all were exactly the same dimensions with the same insulation, it would indeed be easy to determine exactly how many panels are required. Unfortunately, rooms are rarely the same.
There IS a general guideline, however. Typical required input power is 6.5 to 8 Watts per sq. foot with an 8′ foot ceiling, but could be as many as 10-12 watts per sq. ft. Hot Yoga studios will require more, typically between 20 to 28 Watts per sq. ft. with a 10′ ceiling. Again, this is only a general guideline and your situation may be different based on the number (and cumulative size) of external doors and windows, insulation, your climate etc. It may sound like a sales pitch (it isn’t!), but it is always better to err on the side of having more wattage available (read: larger panel and/or more panels), than to under-power the area. This is important because if you under-spec the amount of panels, they will have to work harder (read: use more electricity) to get the temperature up, and may still not get the desired comfort level. We don’t want (or need) the panels “powered on” all the time.
Once we determine how many panels are required, use our handy operating cost calculator to find out the costs to run your panels. We’re certain you’ll be pleasantly surprised how little they cost to run, particularly considering on average they only draw power 6-8 hours in a 24 hour period to keep you comfortably warm.
WAIT! If you’ve made it this far, we obviously know that far infrared panels are much costlier up-front than baseboard heaters. BUT…with possible savings as much as 50% of your Hydro bill each month vs. baseboard heating, it will not take long to get your up-front purchase costs back (Return On Investment) with the panels, versus paying MUCH higher Hydro bills with those “cheap” baseboards you only THOUGHT you were saving money with.
